On Friday, Hillary Clinton was seen making a subtle reference to the U.S. President Donald Trump in her Twitter post. Clinton does not use the micro-blogging site as much as Trump but she does update now and then. On Friday, her tweet appeared short and easy to read. It said, “Things I learned today, Russians Spy; Health care is complicated; Diplomacy is exhausting…”
Clinton receives support for her post on Twitter
Clinton’s tweet was not actually original. The tweet about the list of three things was posted by Philippe Reines, a political consultant, before Clinton. However, both Clinton and Reines were talking about the same thing – Trump’s recent tweets. Recently, the U.S. President posted that he has to tell the readers that it (heath care) is an incredibly complex subject and nobody knows that health care could be this complicated.
Clinton received several supportive reactions after she posted her tweet. A user posted on the micro-blogging giant, “2020 White House is yours if you want it! We’ll fight for you always.” Another user said their children will learn to throw shade with grace because of her (Clinton).
There were some users who indicated to the Russia issue, saying, “The Russian narrative is STRONG with the Trump administration. When will GOP wake up and choose America?”
President Trump defends his summit with German Chancellor Merkel
The U.S. President Donald Trump had a not-so-friendly meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday. The meeting was supposed to take place on Tuesday but due to some issues, it was postponed to Friday. On Saturday, Trump took to favorite social network to tell users that he had a great meeting with Merkel but he followed the tweet with a jab on Germany for owing money to NATO.
Trump’s tweet reads, “Despite what you have heard from the FAKE NEWS, I had a GREAT meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.” In the same tweet, he blasted Germany for owing a large amount of money to NATO.
His tweet further says, “Nevertheless, Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany!” The billionaire businessman has several times indicated that America is getting an unfair deal with NATO.
Several magazines said that Trump and Merkel look awkward throughout the summit. The Weekly news magazine said, “There are two politicians who could hardly be more contradictory.” The magazine said Trump and Merkel “do not work.”
