J.K. Rowling has millions of fans and followers who love reading her feelings and thoughts, which she often posts on the micro-blogging giant. However, there are some people including an author who have slammed the best-selling author as “egotistical” for posting her views on Twitter and other social networks.
Tweeting several times a day is like wanting to be Kim Kardashian: Author
Author Joanna Trollope told the Daily Mail, “Creating this mass following and tweeting several times a day is like wanting to be Cheryl or Kim Kardashian.” She added that some authors like JK Rowling have this insatiable desire and need to be out there all the time, and that’s entirely driven by their ego. She further said that she ‘deliberately’ stays away from social networking sites because she expresses everything she needs to in her books.
The author of popular novel ‘A Village Affair’ said the increase of social media was bad for the publishing industry. She said that it is so depressing to think that aspiring authors will look at popular writers with millions of followers (like Rowling and) think that that is how they have to operate. She added. “It’s not, and actually, it’s the opposite.” Rowling, who campaigned for the Remain side, is a vocal supporter of the European Union, and has usually been a Labour supporter. However, the best-selling author frequently tweets criticism of Jeremy Corbyn. In addition to this, J.K.Rowling is frequently seen posting tweets that mock U.S. President Trump.
Kanye leaves Twitter – It’s not fake news
Kanye West, one of the most popular celebrities, has left the micro-blogging site ‘Twitter’ as well as the photo-sharing app Instagram. Why you think? He is Kanye West and you never know why he does certain things. The social media accounts of the popular rapper suddenly disappeared on Friday.
The rapper did not even join the photo-sharing app until late last year in September and now, he has either left the application or has deactivated his account for a certain time period. West has been very popular for his tweets, especially the one where he announced that he would run for U.S. President in 2024 instead of 2020.
Also, this is not the first time that the rapper that deleted something – West deleted nearly all his tweets in 2012 except one of October 4 which said, “BE BACK SOON.” However, his wife – Kim Kardashian – is still using her Twitter account.
